Tähän kauniiseen gotlantilaiseen maaseututaloon tulimme viikoksi kesäkuun puolivälissä viettämään viikkoa tutustuaksemme Gotlantiin, sen maaseutuun, ruokaan, eläimiin ja luontoon, levätäksemme ja viettääksemme mukavaa aikaa yhdessä. To this beautiful house out in the countryside in Gotland we came in the middle of June this year to live one week in order to be known with Gotland, the fine landscape, food, animals, and nature, to relax and to have a nice social time together.
Tämän lampaiden vastaanottokomitean tapasimme jo heti parkkipaikalla.
This nice welcome group of sheeps met us already by the parking place.
Ensimmäiseksi taloon tullessa tulimme eteisaulaan, jossa komisteli tämä koristelun mukaisesti vanha ("Anno 1741") takka.This fine old ("Anno 1741") fireplace were the first thing we met inside the door.
Keittiö, ruokailutila ja oleskelutila muodostivat yhden valtaisan huoneen. Ruokapöydässä riitti reilusti tilaa kaikille ja mukavat suuret vanhat nahkasohvat ja tuolit ja monet lampaantaljat ja tyynyt tekivät oleskelun rennoksi. Muuten olivat huoneet sisutetut kauniisti monin vanhoin huonekaluin ja antiikkisinkin koriste-esinein.Kitchen, the dining room and drawing room were one big open area. The lang table gave us lot of place to sit together and old leather sofas and chairs with lambskins and pillows were nice and cosy. Otherwise were the rooms decorated with many beautiful old pieces of furniture and other old and also antique decoration things.
Jostain syystä juuri tämä huoneessa riippunut kaunis kristallikrunu sai minut jatkuvasti ajattelemaan Muumimamman kristallikruunua Muumitalossa, Tove Janssonin kirjoissa, en vain tiedä miksi....Of some reason this beautiful christal lamp made me all the time to think the same type of lamp of Mummin Mother in the Mummin House, in the books of Tove Jansson, I just do not know why...
Toisen kerroksen aulassa oli mukava istuinryhmä. Siellä meillä oli myös mahdollisuus pitää yhteyttä kotiin ja muualle, sinne asetetun tietokoneen ja laajakaistan avulla.A sitting room on the sedonc floor. Yläkerrassa sijaitsi myös neljä makuuhuonetta, sininen, punainen, vihreä ja keltainen sekä pesutilat ja WC. Alakerrassa oli myös yksi makuuhuone muiden tilojen lisäksi. Yläkerran sinisen huoneen koristuksena oli mm. tämä vanha (ainakin käsityön vuosiluvusta 1881 päätellen) kaunis ristipistotyö.On the second floor there were also four bedrooms, blue, red, green and yellow, and bathrooms and toilets. Meillä oli mukava piha nurmikoineen, kukkineen ja pensaineen, missä saattoi istuskella, lueskella, pelata suomalaista palikkapeliä nimeltä "mölkky", tai leikkiä koirien kanssa silloin kun isäntäväki pyynnöstämme päästi ne meitä tervehtimään.We had nice garden with greens, flowers and bushes around us, here we could sit, read, play a Finnish wooden play named "Mölkky", or play with the dogs when our landlord after our question let them out to us.
Neljä tällaista haukkua piti tilan lampaat Herran nuhteessa ja ojennuksessa, Edith, Astrid, Kim ja Vitra. Minusta ne oliva vain kovin samannäköisiä niin, etten milloinkaan oppinut näkemään kuka oli kuka. Villejä ja leikkisiä koiria, kun olivat "työstään" vapaana, mutta hyvin ystävällisiä. Four of these dogs hold the farms sheep in order, Edith, Astrid, Kim and Vitra. I could never separate, them from each other, they looked too alike for me. I woke up to this calm view from my bedroom window and to the voices from sheep.
