Joulun kuvia - Christmas pictures
Here are some of our Christmas feelings and atmospheres. Among other pictures there are two from a Christmas Consert given by the "Kristelig Gymnasium" in Oslo, where our daughter went her last three classes. We learned to like their conserts with "KG-Singers" so much that we wanted to here them again, after some years, though we already two weeds before had heard an other consert with the famous Arve Tellefsen and the Nidaros-choir. Our Christmas was marked with a hard "old times" type flue, which has gone through all family members. It came as suddenly and at the same time as the snow flow down from the heaven. On Christmas Day we had about 20 cm snow, and the next day there were 30 cm more. The landscape is beautiful as a Christmas card, but at the same time we also have got between minus 14 and 20 degrees C cold! I feel sorrow again for alla the birds which are frozen both on the greens and the ducks on a little beck which is frozen more and more. Now we can begin to tell the hours to the new year, soon the holidays are over and the normal working weeks are back. Christmas goes by so soon, let's enjoy the atmosphere a little while more!

5 päivää aattoiltaan - 5 Days to Christmas Eve!

6.12., Suomen Itsenäisyyspäivä - The 6th of Des., the Independence Day of Finland
In English: We had a working day at home, something in the house we had to arrange before Christmas, that is why we had no time to think much celebrations. We, however, decided to have a little dinner for us two, an easy made dinner but with three courses and living lights in colours blue and white (colours in the Finnish flag). First we had a little toast for Finland, and then we began with pepper paté with Cumberland sauce and a little cucumber. The main course was beefsteak of filé, pepper sauce, French fries and a fresh salad natural. And as the finish, the dessert was homemade panna cotta with raspberry sauce, and some blackberries on the top. The beverages were red wine and fresh water. I am not very good to take food photos, the courses look maybe not so nice here, but I can assume you: they were very delicious! Have a nice evening!
Hyvää illan jatkoa kaikille!
